In 2021, Paris EICAR Campus received the Campus France certification “Bienvenue en France” (Welcome to France), which guarantees the standard of quality for EICAR’s international student intake.
Paris EICAR Campus is one of the 129 certified institutions among 192 establishments which have embarked on the certification process. And we are the only Higher Education Institution in Filmmaking to have received this certification.
“Bienvenue en France / Choose France” label
The “Bienvenue en France/Choose France” Certification was developed by Campus France to promote the French higher education institutions showing their ability to accommodate new foreign students. Launched by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI) in France, this certification aims at being:
- an information tool for international students about the true conditions of student intake in institutions
- a promotion tool for international students listing initiatives taken by institutions in this industry
- a quality process to improve greeting arrangements in institutions
This certification is awarded for 4 years and shows Paris EICAR Campus’s deep commitment to the improvement process of international students’ reception.
How does Paris EICAR Campus welcome international students?
For 50 years, EICAR – The International Film & Television School wishes to provide the best possible welcome to international students. Our student body represents over 60 nationalities. Since the beginning, EICAR has implemented several actions to help foreign students. These measures and actions have been evaluated in order to obtain the “Bienvenue en France / Choose France” label.
Among these measures, EICAR offers 100% English-language programs in Filmmaking, with specialization in Directing, Screenwriting, Cinematography, Editing, Production and Acting. In September 2021, the School welcomed the first class of the French as a Foreign Language & Audiovisual program. This one-year program is designed to help international students improving their written and spoken French level. After this first year, they will be able to continue their studies within EICAR’s programs.
Another key area in which Paris EICAR Campus has been extensively working on : how to help international students to settle and fit in easily. In that order, our future students can find on our website (both English and French versions) the Planning your arrival page, in which they will get information on the administrative procedures to settle before and during their stay. Thanks to the School’s Welcome Desk, (future) students can ask all their questions.
EICAR has also established many partnerships in order to facilitate students’ settlement: housing (YouFirst Campus and Studapart), studies funding (Banque Populaire), sponsorship program between local and international students (Buddy System)…
Despite the world sanitary crisis, Paris EICAR Campus provides continuous and sustained actions to help students’ international mobility and improve their experience in France.
