As part of its partnerships with several foreign cultural centers (the Irish Cultural Centre, the Maison de la Culture du Japon, and the Korean Cultural Center, etc) EICAR encourages its international students to take part in cultural events that foster artistic openness and the discovery of diverse cinematic and creative traditions.

Students from the International Program recently had the opportunity to attend a visit organized at the Korean Cultural Center, a key institution promoting Korean culture in France. This initiative reflects EICAR’s commitment to enriching students’ artistic perspectives through meaningful cultural exchanges beyond the classroom.

Immersion in Contemporary Korean Creation

During their visit, EICAR students explored several major exhibitions highlighting the diversity and vitality of contemporary Korean art.

They first discovered “Colors of Korea: Spotlight on Contemporary Korean Art,” an exhibition bringing together the works of 34 artists who explore the essential colors of Korean culture and their contemporary resonance. The visit also included the immersive experience “Once in a Lifetime,” dedicated to Korean-American artist Jin Meyerson, offering a unique sensory and visual journey through his artistic universe. Finally, students explored “The Power of Speech,” an exhibition focusing on contemporary Korean literature, showcasing the richness of its narratives and the growing international influence of Korean authors.

Partnerships Supporting Cultural Openness

Through these collaborations with international cultural institutions, EICAR reaffirms its commitment to embedding its academic programs within a global perspective. Such experiences complement classroom learning by providing concrete exposure to diverse artistic contexts, encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and creative inspiration.

Additional cultural visits and events will be organized throughout the year, enabling students to continue exploring the richness of global cultures and creative expressions.
