ONCE AGAIN EICAR IS PROUD TO BE A PARTNER WITH THE CHARITY LA CHAÎNE DE L’ESPOIR AND THE ROTARY CLUB OF SAINT-TROPEZ AS A SPONSOR OF THE GRAND PRIX PHOTO 2016. PHOTOGRAPHERS BOTH AMATEURS AND PROFESSIONALS ARE INVITED TO REGISTER AND SEND THEIR PHOTOS BEFORE JANUARY 31ST, 2016!
This international photography contest has become one of the important photography events of the year and the only one which includes together a photo competition, expositions, and an auction of the winning photographs with the proceeds going to the humanitarian organization La Chaîne de l’Espoir, sponsored by the French actress Mireille Darc. The money raised from this event has saved the lives of over some 30 children.
Aside from its humanitarian goal, one of the other goals of the Grand Prix Photo is to encourage the talents of young photographers. The Grand Prix Photo has helped hundreds of young photographers enter the profession of photography and the event has proved to be an excellent opportunity for promoting one’s work and meeting the professionals of the photography and audio-visual industry.
There are three categories in which students and professionals may enter:
- Prix “Jeunes talents” – Young Talent – photographers under 25 years of age,
- Prix “Passionnés” – Passionate Talent – open to all, both amateurs and professionals,
- Prix “Premium Class” – First-Class Talent – open to all.
The jury is composed of internationally renowned photographers, artists and filmmakers.
